Dr. Sahawneh began his medical career as a US Navy Corpsman which took him overseas to Okinawa Japan. There he furthered his training in the field of medicine and combat readiness training. After 5 years of service, he attended undergraduate studies at Arizona State University where earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He furthered his education of medicine at the university of Des Moines in Iowa earning a medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sahawneh decided to study surgery and interned at Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Michigan for one year, and later completed four years of General Surgery Residency in Trenton Michigan.

Dr. Sahawneh has been practicing General Surgery in Kingman Arizona since 1997, and now at Valley View Medical Center. He is Board Certified in General Surgery, as an Osteopathic surgeon he adheres to the philosophy of treating the "whole" patient.

He has more than 25 Years of experience in surgery and has taken care of many conditions from basic to most severe. His practice includes but is not limited to conditions of Gallbladder, Hernia, Breast and breast cancer, Colon, colon cancer and colonoscopy, GERD and reflux surgery.
