WHO: AOMA physician members and student members

WHAT: Legislators, physicians and policymakers will share valuable advocacy advice and insights into the most critical issues impacting health care. Meet with state legislators.

WHERE: Arizona Capitol, 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix

WHEN: Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

WHY: Learn the importance of advocacy and discuss issues impacting osteopathic medicine.

AOMA's 2023 DO Day at the State Legislature will provide osteopathic medical students the opportunity to experience the legislative process, alongside osteopathic physicians, and meet with legislators. The day will begin with an orientation at 8:00 a.m. followed by presentations on health care issues from key Arizona legislators and advocacy leaders. AOMA will group students with physician advocates and set up meetings with your legislators. The formal program will end at noon. You are welcome to stay longer at the Capitol and attend House or Senate hearings in the afternoon.
