Dr. Mortensen earned his medical degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his residency training at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix, AZ.  He moved to Flagstaff, AZ in 2012 and worked as a hospitalist for 7 years, after which he decided to go back and do additional training in the field of endocrinology.  He completed his endocrinology fellow at the University of Arizona Phoenix campus in the summer of 2021.
