Charles Finch, DO

Dr. Finch graduated from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Maricopa Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona, and currently works as an emergency physician in Scottsdale. Dr. Finch has been with MWU/AZCOM since 2000. In addition to his duties as Department Chair, he is the director of the longitudinal ultrasound curriculum, teaches in the second year Introduction to Clinical Medicine course, and directs courses in Emergency Medical Services, Ultrasound, and Introduction to Radiology. Dr. Finch is Chair of the NBOME COMLEX Level 2 CE, serves as a COMLEX PE Soap Note Evaluator, and is an item test writer for the NBOME and USMLE board examinations. Dr. Finch serves as the Vice Speaker of the House of Delegates for the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association and is currently the Chair of the Annual AOMA Case and Poster Forum. Dr. Finch completed a Health Policy Fellowship with the American Osteopathic Association in 2002, and the Costin Institute for Medical Education in 2005. In his free time, Dr. Finch serves as the Founder and Camp Director for Camp Paz, a statewide bereavement program for children and adults who have experienced a death in their life.
