Danielle Barnett-Trapp, DO

Dr. Barnett-Trapp is a second-generation osteopathic family physician and Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP). She completed her Family Medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, where she remained on faculty providing full-spectrum family medicine care, including hospital and obstetrical services. She later completed a fellowship in Academic Medicine through the University of Arizona and developed a strong focus on medical education.
Dr. Barnett-Trapp is currently an Associate Professor at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and has practiced in the urgent care setting for more than 13 years. She also serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for A.T. Still University of Health Sciences.
In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Dr. Barnett-Trapp holds multiple national and state leadership positions with the ACOFP, the Arizona Society of the ACOFP (AzACOFP), and the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA). She was honored with the AOMA President’s Award in 2017 and the AOMA Mentor of the Year Award in 2024.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Barnett-Trapp enjoys photo journaling and traveling throughout the United States in an RV with her husband and their three children, Grayson, Beckett, and Adelyn James.
