Dr. Elissa B. Gartenberg is a board-certified family medicine physician and founder of Modern Family Medicine, a concierge medical practice in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona, that blends conventional primary care with holistic care. She incorporates osteopathic manipulation, medical acupuncture, and functional lifestyle medicine into her practice. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, pursued advanced studies in molecular biology at Harvard University, and received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship with Henry Ford Health Systems in Warren and Detroit, Michigan, and her family medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. She also holds certification in medical acupuncture through the Helms Medical Institute at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
Dr. Gartenberg established and operated a traditional insurance-based family medicine practice for 10 years before transitioning to a concierge model that supports longer visits, deeper clinical engagement, and the full application of osteopathic principles. Her work integrates manual therapy, mind-body strategies, preventive care, and advances in AI and biometric technology to deliver highly personalized, precision-informed treatment plans. Her practice design enables extended visits, fosters stronger clinical relationships, and promotes ongoing continuity.
