Jeffrey Vaughn, DO


Jeffrey M. Vaughn, DO is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine.  He received his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO. He then completed an orthopaedic surgery residency in York, PA and Baltimore, MD. To complete his specialty training, Dr. Vaughn did a fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Children’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.

Since graduating from medical school, Dr. Vaughn has been actively involved in the care of athletes from youth leagues to college teams.  During his fellowship, Dr. Vaughn served as a team physician for high school and college athletes.  He additionally provided medical coverage for the Boston Ballet, the Boston Marathon, the US Figure Skating National Championships, the US Indoor Track & Field Championships and other sporting events. Dr. Vaughn is currently the head team physician for Williamsfield High School. Dr. Vaughn’s goals when caring for his patients include full and timely recovery from surgical procedures, injury prevention, maximum injury rehabilitation and the safe return to play of every athlete and patient.

Dr. Vaughn established the Pediatric Sports Medicine Group at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in 2008.
