July 31, 2015 is a day that changed Shelly and Nick Beissel forever. Nick’s sister, Natalie, was tragically murdered by domestic violence. From this pain, Love Conquers Violence (LCV) was formed – to honor Natalie and stop the cycle of domestic violence. As co founder of LCV, Nick oversees all sponsorships, fundraising and operations for the MN based non-profit. Prior to starting LCV, Shelly’s experience centered around the mentorship and support for children in the Minnesota public school system. She was a Youth Programs Coordinator for St. Louis Park Schools, a role that centered on youth enrichment, youth development and summer programming for the diverse student population.
