Susan Haefner, MD, FAAP
Dr. Haefner joined Flagstaff Medical Center in April 2012. She had Previously been an attending Pediatric Intensivist at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas from 2002 to 2012.
She Completed Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Internship, residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at St Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Currently serves as Medical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at FMC.
Has been Assistant Medical Director/Medical Director of Pediatric Operations for Guardian Air Transport since 2012.
Areas of interest include pediatric trauma resuscitation and post-resuscitation management, pediatric traumatic brain injury management and innovative non-invasive ventilation strategies in acute pediatric respiratory failure.
Hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, backcountry camping and fly fishing.
