Tamzid Rahman, DO, MPH

Dr. Tamzid Rahman is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and eye surgeon with American Vision Partners in Phoenix, AZ. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of eye diseases, including cataracts and glaucoma. Besides being proficient with cataract surgery (utilizing both traditional and advanced techniques with premium lens technologies), Dr. Rahman also performs micro-invasive and laser glaucoma surgeries.
He attended the University of Miami for an undergraduate degree in Neurobiology and Chemistry, followed by a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) degree from the same institution. Dr. Rahman then attended Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona for his medical degree. He later pursued a year of clinical ophthalmology research at Maine Eye Center (Portland, Maine) and Tufts University (Boston, Massachusetts) before returning to Phoenix to complete a year of Internal Medicine residency at Valleywise Hospital/Creighton University. Afterwards, he completed his ophthalmology training at Larkin Community Hospital/Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident.
