Valerie Denison, BSN, RN, CPHRM is a Risk Consultant with the Mutual Insurance Company of Arizona (MICA). She is a Registered Nurse with 25 years of patient care experience in hospital, ambulatory, hematology/oncology, infusion, medical-surgical, and cardiac settings. During this time, she served on multiple department and hospital process management and improvement committees. Her passion for patient safety and streamlining processes led her to a role in quality improvement, where she led several projects across multiple specialty clinics.

 As a member to the MICA Risk Team, she collaborates with physicians, advanced health care practitioners, and practice administration professionals to identify and address medical professional liability risks.
