Accreditation
The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

The AOMA designates this program for a maximum of 12.0 hours of AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AOMA Cancellation Policy: All requests for refunds must be in writing and received by July 6, 2022. A $20 processing fee will be deducted from the registration fee. Refunds will not be available after July 6, 2022. A credit for a future CME event may be issued.

Dr. John Ashurst DO, MSc, FACEP, FACOEP is an emergency physician, educator, and researcher at Kingman Regional Medical Center. Having a keen interest in population health and clinical research, he received a Master of Science with a focus on Clinical Research from PCOM during residency. Since graduation, he has published more than 100 manuscripts, served on numerous journal editorial boards, and has led journal clubs at the local, regional, national, and international level. Currently, he oversees the graduate medical education program at Kingman Regional Medical Center and teaches evidence-based medicine at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.

Dr. Bertsch is a board-certified psychiatrist and the Vice President of Medical Affairs for The NARBHA Institute, a not-for-profit foundation. Since 2018, she has also been the Chief Medical Officer for NARBHA’s affiliate, The Guidance Center, a psychiatric hospital and behavioral health center in Flagstaff, AZ. Since 1992, she has served on numerous state-wide committees developing clinical initiatives, services and treatment priorities for Arizona Medicaid and state-funded behavioral health services and has presented nationally on clinical initiatives and integrated care programs. In 2015 she received the Arizona State Behavioral Health Leadership in Services Award from Arizona State University for designing and delivering innovative behavioral health care systems and for a lifelong dedication to public service. Dr. Bertsch received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stanford University, and completed medical school at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, and psychiatry residency at University of New Mexico School of Medicine where she was Chief Resident.

He is currently an Associate Program Director for the Creighton University School of Medicine Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona (Formerly Maricopa Medical Center). Dr. Comp participates as a leader, mentor, and advocate for wilderness medicine and EM medical education at various levels of education and training. His professional and research focus includes wilderness medicine, physician wellness, mentorship, as well as innovation in medical education. Originally from Phoenix, Dr Adam Dawson is sometimes known as the "Scorpion Doctor".  He completed his residency training in Kingman, AZ then stayed in Kingman transitioning into roles as core faculty and the Emergency Department Medical Director.  He loves caring for patients and loves teaching. He is humbled to have been named the residency program's 2018 Student Educator of the Year and the hospital's 2020 Physician of the Year.  He loves spending time with his wife Allyssa and their five children.​

Dr. Devine comes from a family of osteopathic physicians, and in medical school expanded his interests in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). He is nationally and internationally respected as a lecturer and author of topics in OMM. His skills and interests were enhanced early from his experiences while serving as a USAF MC physician with his last duty station at Luke AFB, Arizona under the Tactical Air Command (Vietnam War).

As president of the Arizona Academy of Osteopathy he brought many programs to medical students, residents and practicing physicians. He was a very active family practitioner for over 25 years, utilizing osteopathic principles and methods fully in his military and private practice. He was one of the founders of the Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and served for 26 years.

He has been honored with many awards over the years for his service to osteopathic medicine and teaching. Dr. Devine has coauthored two textbooks on Clinical Counterstrain Osteopathic Manipulation and has written and coauthored chapters in five medical textbooks and research papers. He is board certified in family medicine, OMT, neuromusculoskeletal medicine and OMM.  His practice in now is focused only on the field of osteopathic manipulative medicine and he continues to teach post-graduate medical education.

Dr. Mike Druschel is a family physician in Flagstaff Arizona at Remedy Direct Primary Care. He became co-founder of his clinic after working in federally qualified health centers and a private practice associated with a critical access hospital. Dr. Chad Taylor was raised in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He received his undergraduate education at Minnesota State University and graduated in 2009. Dr. Taylor’s passion was rural family medicine and hospitalist medicine. He became a partner until the practice was sold in 2021. Dr. Taylor then returned to the only place that has felt like home, Flagstaff AZ. He practices dermatology and family medicine at Apricus Medical Group’s Flagstaff Family Care, and is the Regional Director of Medical Education for A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine.

To start filling out the attestation forms you will first have to select which lectures you attended. Click the first option Customer Attendance Confirmation. Check off all the lectures you attended and then click Submit.

 

Once you have selected the lectures you attended the Attestation forms for those lectures will appear bellow.

 

 

After all attestation forms are completed, you must also complete the 2022 Summer Symposium Overall Activity Evaluation to access your certificate and obtain credit.
